SUMMARY OF WORK EXPERIENCE

Twenty years construction planning and drafting experience.

Sole Proprietor: Environmental Systems Project.  Consultant to owner builders.            Projects are all residences or residential renovations built in the Hilo, Hawaii Metropolitan          Area between 1980 and 2011.

Photography and Graphics: I have produced and presented analog photography using 35mm SLR cameras and printed using standard darkroom technology.  I have extensive experience in the use of digital applications to produce graphic art for marketing and presentation. 

Teaching: I have worked as a substitute teacher with the Hawaii Department of Education for over ten years.  I am currently certified by the State of New Jersey to teach as a substitute in public schools.  I now work for three Bergen County school systems.

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Arts, May 1980.  University of Hawaii at Hilo, Hilo, Hawaii.  I graduated with honors, GPA of 3.6.  I developed a curriculum in Liberal Studies: “Urban Environmentalism.”  At UH Hilo I developed and completed a planning survey of the Hilo metropolitan area.  I studied Architectural Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, 1963 through 1968.  I studied the electronics of broadcasting with instructors of the School of Communications Electronics in San Francisco, California in 1975. Licensed by the FCC in 1980. 

SKILL

Licensed as a Radio Telephone Operator.  I worked seven years as a monitor and engineer for a 5KW television station.  I am a licensed by the FAA as a private pilot.

I am proficient with most PC applications, including all Microsoft word processing and data recording applications, the AutoCad LT drafting application, the Adobe graphics applications, Premier Pro and Final Cut video editing applications.
